HAPPY 2007

Did all of you remember to put $20.07 under your front door mat before midnight on Dec. 31st? Well I forgot, too. In case you don't know what that is all about, you put the money in the amount of the coming year (2007, which could be $20.07 or $2,007.00...you get the idea) under the mat of the door you go in and out of and that is suppose to bring money into your house for the coming year. You don't leave it there all year long...please retrieve it the next morning. It has been a tradition in my family for ever. Try it next year and see what happens.

Jessica, Dan and Betsy have left and we only have a few more days with Laura and then the house will be quiet...AGAIN...and you probably think that I am waiting for that day but in all actuality...I am not. In any event we are hoping that 2007 will be a year of growth, prosperity and good health for all our family and friends.

On Jan. 18th we are leaving for Erie, PA so that I can spend time with my mom while Jay flies out to Calif. and Arizona to also see about more work. We have seen on the news that PA is having snow, especially up in the Great Lakes area and we haven't had the experience of any snow here in GA but have been told that this is warmer than normal here. So even though I thought I would get out of dealing with snow...looks as though I won't this year. Then the memories will come flooding back as to "why" I wanted warmer weather.

We also hope that this year we will be able to get out to Tacoma and see Jessica, Dan and Lucy. I have heard that it is a beautiful place to visit. I just hate that they are so far away but that is the Army for ya. Maybe their next transfer will be closer to us. In May we will be back in PA for Betsy's graduation from PSU...YEAH!!! Then she will be moving down to Atlanta sometime summer or fall. At least one child will be close by to bug...only kidding.
