Mabry's first B-day and other random photos

Here is a typical pic of Mabry with her "favorite" two fingers in her mouth. I just thought this was so cute of her.
Here she is with her Gampa, I think the two are joined at the hip. Gampa has already done some babysitting. Do ya hear that people...the man babysat! I don't think they like each other TOOOOOO much.
And here the little stink pot is with her Gamma, do you think her arm is out trying to reach for that Gampa of hers? I let him think that, but she does this all the time and makes some grunting sounds and like all adults, we try to figure out what she wants. We aren't doing too bad at this.
Mabry and her momma sitting down with her "special" 1st birthday plate. They were trying to coax her to eat her cupcake and ice cream and she had a look on her face like, "why is everyone looking at me" and we were all holding our breath waiting for her to just dive right in and make a mess. After she figured out that she could, she did, and what a messy child (but happy one) we had.
That night we had some old, no, I'll say "former" neighbors, from PA,  but still friends, over for pizza and beer and here was Mabry eating her pizza with her birthday crown on. She did great keeping that crown on for the most part.
Our friend, Deb, was helping Mabry walk with the car we bought her and at one point Deb let go and Mabry started walking all by herself. She didn't realize it since she was holding onto the back of the car but we all clapped and made a big deal out of it and then I think she realized no one was holding on to her because now when we try to get her to do this, she sticks out her hind end and plops down on the floor.
The next day we did a fashion show of all the clothes this little miss got. Now I feel the need to go shopping for ME, I am not as fashionable as my granddaughter. Here she is wearing the rain coat we bought her and sorry it is blurry but she sways back and forth whenever there is music on and that is exactly what she was doing. That is the rocking horse that her momma and dada got her and it is the cutest one I have ever seen. Each ear has a place to press and one side makes the whinny sound and the other makes a galloping sound, wiggles its nose and tail. The stirrups are even metal and not vinyl. Too cute! When she holds on she takes the position of a jockey...hmmm
Dada helped her to open her gifts but she was more interested in those curly ribbons, isn't that always they way?
He friend, Avagail, was also helping her with her gifts.
Another picture of her horse, she is calling him, Ted or so her momma says. She did have a cute tutu on but with the cake eating and ice cream she got stripped to her onesie.
I will try to do some more posts as the week goes on while we are here in Seattle but just in case I don't, please check next week when we will be back in Georgia.
