Jessica wanted to take me and her preggo friend, Gloria, on a walk yesterday. Gloria is about to give birth any day and Jessica thought this might help little Elayna make her debut sooner rather than later. We (Gloria and me) were game but little did we know UNTIL we got there that there are steep hills to endure.
The walking course goes around a golf course that looks as though it is in the desert, really different and did I mention it is 3.25 miles long.
We did have the cell phone in case of labor (how they would find us would be another story) but the way things were going, Gloria did good, I on the other hand thought I would have a heart attack. If I had enough energy to have broken that daughter of mine like a twig, she would be shorter than she is right now. She was jogging backwards (she has been an army wife too long) and encouraging us to keep up, where is a sock and duct tape when you need it. We kept on plugging through until we got to the car. The only reprieve we got ,was, Jessica did mention we could walk by the road at the top where there is shade to keep cool, gee that was big of her. Did I mention that this is mostly out in the hot sun?
Here are a couple of pictures of where we were.

See those little people and how steep the terrain can be and these aren't even the largest hills to climb, what were we thinking?

I don't know that I lost any weight except for what my brain (which I must have left in the car) could possibly weigh because surely this would not have been the walk of choice until I was in a little better shape or time could go back to when I was THE AGE MY DAUGHTER IS!
Have a good Wednesday, we are off and running again today...shopping. At least there are benches that this 'ole lady can take a break on. ha ha

"SIR YES SIR!" I'm so happy we're still alive... now we can't plot our revenge.
