NO Brainer Recipe Exchange

Rose, over at Santamakers Journey is having a "No Brainer" Dinner Ideas Recipe exchange.

So I would like to include:

Beef Stroganoff (all in one skillet, ladies):

Brown about 1# ground beef in lg. skillet, drain.
Add 1 T. lemon juice, salt, pepper (both to your taste), chopped onions (get already chopped in the frozen foods section), 1 beef bouillon cube or I'd rather use about 1T. powder beef bouillon, mushrooms (optional) and about 4c. water. Get it boiling and add egg noodles (enough to mix in good with the meat but make sure it is covered with water). Put lid on and simmer until noodles are cooked.  Drain a little. Add enough sour cream (usually 1 large container) to the skillet to make a creamy sauce. Serves about 4. EASY!

Oriental Chicken Salad (slant on Applebees version):

Buy crispy chicken strips and cook how ever many you want in your salad according to directions on package.

Cut up lettuce, add slivered almonds and chow mein noodles (both are how ever many you want), then put the chicken on top but cut into bite size pieces.

Drizzle with dressing.

Dressing recipe:
3 T. honey
1 1/2 T. rice wine vinegar
1/4 c. mayo
1 t. Dijon mustard
1/8 t. sesame oil
Mix this all together.
This will make dressing for a couple salads

Double Crusted Taco Squares:

1# ground beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning
2 container of crescent rolls
4 c. shredded cheese (I use colby jack)
sour cream
salsa

Brown beef, drain, add taco seasoning mix. Unroll 1 cont. crescent roll onto a slightly greased baking sheet. Press perforations together. sprinkle with 1/2 the cheese, spread ground beef on top of cheese and sprinkle the rest of the cheese. Unroll the 2nd cont. of crescent rolls, press perforations together and place over cheese. Press edges together to seal.
Bake 400 for 12-15 min.
Serve with sour cream and salsa on top.

ENJOY!

Yummy! That last one sounds like a variation of taco ring but a lot simpler. Can't wait to try them.

YUMMY....looks like great and easy recipes to me.

To answer your question, yes the movie coming out is off the Twilight book. I'm telling you I am 47 years old and was hooked into that book and couldn't put it down! I will get the next book in the series today and you bet I will be there to see the movie when it comes out!

Hi Cheri,

Those recipes look yummy. I've been so good lately. I'm making dinner every night now. No eating out for me. Save money and loose weight is my goal.

I'll have some Christmas ideas for you shortly. I'm tempted to decorate for C-mas before Thanksgiving. We'll see if that happens. :-)
