Finally...the mantel

My elves thought that too much "stuff" was getting placed on the mantel but I think it looks just fine. If I had more garland I think I would have put some more so that you couldn't see the base of the trees, but does anyone know where to get some garland that stays and bends really really well? We were having troubles so much so that this mantel may not get dusted until decorations come down... so no doing the "white glove" test.

The star came from a place we love, called Real Deal. Now we did have a larger Americana country red looking one, but this one (even though it is smaller) reminded us of the star you always see when ever you see pictures of Jesus's birth, so up it went.
We are simple minimal folks. Next year I think that I will have a decorating party, like a painting party, and have all you creative bloggers to my house and let you go at it.

Create
Decorate... you know you want to try out your "decorating know how" and I'll volunteer my house for the canvas. Any takers?

So cute with your little grandbaby....my daughter has 4 1/2 year old twins and we kept them LOTS when they were little bitty (as Taylor likes to say). My hubby claims he has trouble sleeping but those nights we kept them he had no trouble sleeping through the bottle feedings! They didn't get up at the same time, but just as soon as you'd get one fed, the other woke up about 30 min. later....thank goodness those days are over!

Thank you for dropping by. You asked about the snow garland but it isn't a garland at all....those are just some extra pieces off an old Christmas tree that I've kept from year to year to use as "filler" but they do come in handy!

Merry Christmas,
Judy
