Anyhow, it started snowing last night before we left and the 10 min. it would take to get there I figured would probably take me an hour considering I now live in the south and I DO NOT do winter snow weather driving, but alas, we did make it in better time then I thought...only 58 min.
Kidding.
We had a very nice visit and more dessert then I have eaten in 6 months. I mean we just don't seem to eat desserts very often and here my mom got a carrot cake that we ate after our dinner and before going over to MIL's house and then MIL had made blueberry pie; had to have some of that. Not only because I LOVE blueberries but I didn't want her feelings hurt. The clincher came when daughter (under her breath) said, "mom I don't like blueberries," never fear, mom is here. I told daughter to eat a few bites so I could get my piece down and then we switched plates (when of course no one was looking) and I polished off hers.
Can we say "WEIGHT GAIN."
Now I have some nieces and SILs that read my blog so "mum" is the word, girls.
Sorry there are no pictures with this post...just imagine a pig in mud and you get the idea.
Oink...oink

No worries Aunt Cheri we would never let your secret slip. Mostly because we have all done something similar to that at Granny's house at one time or another. I vaguely remember eating outside and scrapping our plates in the woods....
Sounds like you are having a good time! I still love to bug my mom too!
I LOVE carrot cake...and pie too.. Basically I am a lover of desserts. :)
Lots of desserts sounds great to me! As long as it's not everyday, I say go for it and enjoy!
