Mabry was getting the hang of Easter egg hunting. She was having no problems finding them. Like that wild hair???
Here she is with all her loot. The yellow lion sitting in front of her is a bubble maker and she LOVES bubbles so I knew that Easter bunny gamma and gampa had to get that for her. Her Aunt B got her clothes and her momma and dada got her a DVD, book, bunny and ball.
Here is where our prayers have been answered. Our church, Galilee Christian Church, started planning a year ago to have our Easter service at the high school stadium. We, as a congregation were hoping to reach out to 1,000 people, inviting them to see what GCC was all about, to pledge their faith to Jesus if they had not already and to worship with us. We had a 30 day book of devotions with a section to ask God something specific and to Thank God. We prayed for the 1,000 in attendance and for a beautiful day. God gave us both.
Here is our choir
This is the best picture I could get from where we were sitting of the people that came to worship this Easter Sunday with us. God blessed us with 1, 396 people.
The gentleman speaking at the podium is our preacher, Tom Plank. Tom has such a gift for speaking and engaging every age group. He keeps saying in a couple years he is going to retire and I hate to see that day come. Those will be some pretty big shoes to fill. I wish each and every one of you could come at least once to Sunday service with us and hear Tom. So this is my invitation to you if you are coming into metro Atlanta.
After church we went to Chilis' for lunch and the little miss decided to wear gampa's sunglasses. She doesn't have much of a nose to keep them on.
Oops! But the fingers never left the mouth.
