Little Master bedroom redo

I am a little sloooooow on decorating, one room will take me years to get it together the way I like or envision it. I mean we have been in this house for 3 years now and with the house up for sale I will be challenged to decorate another house - sooner rather than later. Let's hope with the next house I get the lead out and it won't take me as looooong.

BEFORE
with apricot pillows and nothing above headboard

AFTER
vinyl lettering above headboard, light turquoise pillows (I made them...yes I did)

CLOSE UP

DARK BROWN CURTAINS
use to have valances

So, what do ya think? Keep the brown pillow that I already had or get something else? Any suggestions? Do you like the brown panels at the window?

Come on... Give it to me girls... I have my big girl pants on and I can take it.

Hmmmm...first of all, I love the blue pillows that you made! I love brown and blue together. But...the beds just looks asymmetrical to me. I think you should make one more blue square one and then put the brown in front of that. Or, leave the brown one out. But...I do like the brown curtains. The blue pillows and cream look great with the brown headboard.

I am slow in decorating too, unless I really like the room. I have two of my guest bedrooms decorated but not the master. And I did the living room but not the family room. I am not in love with my house...I guess that is the problem.
I like the pillows you have on the bed now. And I like the swag curtains you put up. But my first thought when I saw that beautiful window was why are you blocking it with the armoire? (I think that's what I am seeing). I love that window.

Ginger,

With all the cut outs in that room, we had no other place to put the armoire. Believe me when I say that we have tried several ways to reconfigure that room with our furniture. If the armoire wasn't there our king size bed would have to be.

HI cheri....I like the brown pillow and great blue pillows that you made....I might add a bit of a print color in a little valance over the brown panels on the window....or maybe find some of those really cute tassles in the wall color that everyone sells on Etsy...that would look real cute.
