Yes, we are the Beverly Hillbillies

Last night on our way home from NC we stopped to get yet another load of hubby's things (this makes about 5 loads so far) with a full size truck and a LARGE trailer piled high. We felt grimy and hubby had dirt on his jeans and shirt, what a mess we were. Anyhow, after hours upon hours of loading up we FINALLY left GA and headed home to AL with his worldly possessions intact. We had not had any lunch and were famished by the time we stopped at Applebees in Anniston, AL for dinner around 9:00 central time. I really wished I had my camera (it was buried in the back of the truck) just so you could see that we looked like this.

As we were getting out of the truck, hubby looks back and says, "I feel like the Beverly Hillbilllies." Yep, he's right, I married Jed Clampett.

After two hours of unpacking and trying to figure out where to put stuff, the trailer now looks like this.

But the basement looks like...

The next four pictures are of hubby's prized possessions in our basement and the last picture, well that is my section of holiday decorations. Do ya think he has too much crap? Come on... be honest... he is a pack rat... we have been toting stuff from house to house that has no rhyme or reason... go on... you can say it.... and here, we'll help him along, "Hello, my name is Jay and I am a pack rat." Still love ya... honey.

Well, he does seem to have a lot of stuff - it's good you have a huge basement to put things in!

Do you have all your items now? Are you done in Atlanta and home in Alabama?

I've been to Annaston before too. We almost moved there.

Wishing you a happy new year. Sandie

LOL!!

We, too, are packrats. Which is why we'll never move to another state.

Or at least one of the million reasons.

I'm impressed that you moved it all!
