Easter in North Carolina

The girls can attest to the fact that "their" dad is always the last one to get up for any holiday and Easter was no exception. Here is Mabry calling for her gampa to get up, the Easter bunny came.

It was funny because her new thing is "she can't" and she would be looking right at the basket and say, "I can't find it."

Sorry Jessica but this was the only picture I had of Mabry actually finding one of her Easter baskets and the bunny left it in the dryer and you just happen to be with her. You do look better with a towel on your head then I do.

Princess May Mays with all her loot. Do ya think someone thought because she lost her glass slipper at the ball that maybe Princess May Mays needed some shoes?

After church we went for lunch over to Joe's Crab Shack and they have an outdoor jungle gym so we had to try it out before lunch. She is getting to be quite the pro going down the slide by herself.

Momma was acting "like a kid" and trying out the monkey bars; now isn't that what all good parents do first?
Here is Princess May Mays trying her hand at the monkey bars. I think she has a good grip.

And here we are going from one bar to the next. I think maybe she is ready for the Ringling Bros. There probably is a call waiting on the answering machine.

Gampa and her with "their" bibs on. Those shrimp were squirting all over the place when they were peeled.

They had different pots and gampa chose this one that had crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. We were all dying wondering how in the world he was able to eat it all (all but one potato that is) but according to gampa it was yummy!

Then it was one more round of the jungle gym before heading to some rose gardens for pictures and here gampa is helping the little miss.

The rose gardens weren't in bloom yet but there was this pretty fountain.

And across the street was another fountain along with some geese and fish.

We couldn't have asked for better weather.

Now if you don't hear from me this week....I am busy being Princess Gamma with Princess May Mays.
