The peace and quiet of my hubby's family farm reflects in these next two pictures of the pond. It was so peaceful being there for...

the 90th birthday party of the lady in the blue and white blouse, my Mother In-Law. She has been planning this party for herself for 3 years and it was 3 days long!

She had bag pipers there to celebrate her Scottish heritage.

The barn was decorated for our evening meals; except one night, we grilled out in her backyard and the caterer had quart jars filled with melted butter for the corn on the cob, brilliant idea to just dip the cob in the jar (note to self).

Amazing food

and beautiful flowers

Gator rides along with 4 wheeler rides in the woods, the men went golfing one day, Corn hole game, Rope ladder game, canoe rides on the pond and she even had her pony, Lacey, give rides to the younger ones. After the final meal and shindig on the 3rd day, there were photographs done of families and random shots of the event by Ridgemeade Photography which you can view
here in the coming days. You can also go to our daughter's blog
here to see a picture of my MIL with her great grandchildren, it's really cute.

We had family from Tennessee, Ohio, North Carolina, Arkansas, South Carolina, Texas, and Hong Kong there. There were 21 out of 26 great grandchildren, 12 out of 14 grandchildren and her 3 children in attendance besides spouses, neighbors, friends, brother, SIL, nieces etc: there. The last few times the family has gotten together either Jay or I have been sick so this reunion of sorts was absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed getting to know our nieces, nephews their spouses and children much better; holding the new babies, connecting with cousins again. It was great! Thanks Mom G. for throwing this party!

It looks absolutely beautiful there - didn't know your hubby had a farm heritage.
So many people came for her - I'm thrilled - I know she was happy.
Looked like a lot of fun.
