Medieval Times

Here in metro Atlanta we have the Discovery Mills Mall and at the one side is the Medieval Times Dinner Theatre.

The outside looks like a castle, inside the gals are dressed like wenches and the guys like pages. They address you as, "My Lady" or "Sire" no matter if it is the person behind the gift counter, the bartender, server or one of the players.

When you first enter you are given a crown to wear of the color of the Knight that you will be rooting for and of course you will be sitting in that section for the show. Ours was the Yellow Knight.

Then you get your photo taken with the King and Princess (in our case the King's daughter in-law). From there we hit the bar and got our drinks in a souveniers glasses.

The Lord Chancellor announces each section by the knight's color and you enter then.

We met up with some of Jay's co-workers and had a great time. AFter we were seated and met our server the food started coming out.

Menu:
 Tomato bisque and garlic bread
Huge chicken leg and thigh
Herb sprinkled baked potato
Pork rib
Apple turn over that was very Yummy and flaky

While we ate they had Jousting matches between Knights, Sword fighting and even a Falcon show.

It was a lot of fun and something different. I would highly recommend going to one of these and they have 9 locations in the USA. We have been to a couple of other Medieval type fairs and this one was by far more civilized even if we did have to eat with our fingers.

FUN! I've always wanted to do something like that. We'll have to check it out next time we're in Atlanta. That'd be a fun thing to do on one of our weekend dates!
