Storm of the Century
Please pray for the people of the Philippines and for our Compassions child, Kean, and his family. They live on the island of Panay and the storm will hit all of the Philippines to some degree but it is coming in at an angle going from southeast to northwest with the eye going over the island of Samar.
They have so little that I can't even imagine the devastation this storm will cause. We are so lucky and blessed and because they have known no other life, I am sure they feel blessed if they survive.

I feel bad - I haven't even heard about this storm coming. I will keep your child and that country and everyone in my prayers.

Any word about this child?
The photos are horrific, but still there are Survivors. I have a friend who has family that live in Cebu and they are all ok. Praying the same for your child...Now that I have been to Tyler, TX, I think I could drive there w/o Mister. If you're ever back there we COULD do a "meet-up". Don't you have a daughter in the area? Any plans to visit there?
Have you gotten any news yet on the child you sponcer?.....I think it's awful that the death toll just keeps rising...those poor people....when I was in NY babysitting B this summer I met a wonderful 62 year old women from there who was a nanny in NY but she was so happy to be finally retiring and she was leaving her family...her children and grandchildren in NY and she was going back home....she seemed so excited to be going back where she was born and to do some traveling....when I asked what about leaving her children and grandchildren...she said "They have a life of their own and I have mine"....she was the first person I thought of when I saw this happened...I pray she is okay....
