First Annual "Sad or Pity" Party (but it was anything but)

Monday us blogging gals met up (we'll get together for ANYTHING to have some fun together) because our dear friend, Linda, was feeling down and that my friends is "why" the title.

L-R: Linda, Denise, Sandie, Sue aka Lucy or Ethel or Hot Crotch, and Rose
Side note: Sue and Joyce (who was not able to come) are the duo Lucy and Ethel because they act like them and Hot Crotch, well...when you scroll down you'll understand that name.

We met at a lovely restaurant, Big City Bread Cafe, http://www.bigcitybreadcafe.com in Athens, GA. The restaurant isn't fancy but the food was outstanding and the day was so perfect that we were able to eat outside.

Here is the Mushroom, Spinach and Parmesan Quiche that I had

It was so good (that is an understatement) that I could have ate another one.

This was the The Big City hamburg and Tahini Salad that Rose had. I didn't get pictures of everyone's meal.

Big City Bread Cafe also has a bakery inside and Sue treated us and got several of them for all of us to try. We had chocolate chip and shortbread cookies, lemon bars, raspberry bars, carrot cake and these shortbread bars with peanut butter and chocolate. Yummy!

Linda, http://ljm-alacarte.blogspot.com, is our "Thrifting Queen" a title well deserved because she can find the best items for cheap and so we did a little "thrift" shopping after lunch. The last place we stopped at was the large new Good Will store and outside they had a huge Georgia Bulldog. This meant photo op time and this meant Sue and the first thing she said when she climbed up, "Hurry I have a hot crotch," and hence the name.

And just to prove this wasn't just a one time deal with our Miss Sue http://rue-mouffetard.blogspot.com...this was at the Biltmore last year.

WARNING: She and The Boss are getting a new Pyrenees pup and so if you see a saddle on it and Miss Sue riding around her neighborhood, don't be alarmed...she's just having fun.

Okay let's see if I remember what I read and saw. First of all that photo of the girls - I look like I am snarling!
The food was fabulous and the friends more so.
I didn't know Sue made a habit of riding animals! lol
We did have a great time didn't we?
Thanks again for everything and it was so good seeing you.
Love, sandie
