Makeup Review

I have never done a makeup review or a review of any sort, but today I am throwing in my two cents on the subject. Let me start by saying that I am over 60 years old but I think any of these products could be for anyone.

I start out at night..yes, my regiment starts at night...with a cotton ball loaded up with

Clinique Clarifying Lotion
I feel that it takes off all the left over grime and oil from the day AFTER you have taken your make up off. Have used this for years. LOVE IT.

My morning routine is simple. I am not one who checks her make up through out the day and does touch ups. Kudos to you that do, but that is not me. I like my make up to be long wearing. The only time I would consider doing that is if I am going out and then I might even completely take off the make up I have on and start over.

I start out by putting on Clinque Moisturing Gel all over my face and neck. It spreads very nice that one squirt does it for me and it is not as heavy feeling as most face lotions. It really glides on easily. This is another Clinique product that I have used for years. LOVE IT.

I do not put this on every day but when I am getting a little more glammed up and for me that means concealer, possibly foundation and powder. Or I will add this when my face has some rosacea areas that seem more pronounced on a particular day. This comes in other colors depending on what your skin is, the green is for red areas. It goes on like silk. LOVE IT

ELF Primer

Then I dab on Becca Under Eye Brightener,

a recommendation from mixandmatchmama.com, Shay Shull. It is fantastic. LOVE IT. I use my ring finger and dab under my eyes to reduce the circles. It comes out shiny so I will then use this concealer brush

by taking the tip of the brush and dabbing in this ELF Finishing Powder

over the eye brightener to make it look natural.  LOVE IT

From here I work on my eyes with this Cover Girl Intensify Me Lash Blast.

I like this particular eye liner because it stays on which is a HUGE plus and the tip makes it so you can make the line narrow or thicker. Win win. LOVE IT

Now here is when we come to a product I am on the fence about

Lash Primer.
I have read that some ladies love the Rodan and Fields Lash Primer but for something I wasn't sure that I would love and the price was more than my budget can handle at $150, I went with this Dior brand. I am not quite sure how I feel about this. Are my lashes lengthened, yes, but does it stay that way all day, no. My lashes are kind of stiff after I put this on and go to add my mascara. Makes me think of hair spray for the eye lashes. I will keep trying this...I will not give up, but if anyone has any recommendations on Lash Primer, please let me know.

Now to finish off my regiment I add Stila Lip Glaze.

I love the amount of color, it makes my lips moist and it is slender to put in your purse or slide in a pocket. As we get older everything gets drier including the lips...you older gals know what I am talking about.

Maybe if you were looking for some new make up or something new to try, I hope maybe this little review has helped you.

That was good to know - I think Clinque is a good product. I have used Origins for years. You are pretty so it must work!

I have been having blog trouble - my computer is so old it won't update chrome anymore. Therefore I don't think I am going to get Bloglovin anymore. So I had to get the blogs I do follow a different way. I have to refollow you - where is your join badge? Have a great weekend. Sandie
