I have loved and drank coffee since I was 4 years old with my mom and the ladies of the neighborhood when they would get together once a week for their "coffee," which was a polite way of saying, gossip time. My BFF, Lori, and I would drink from our little yellow coffee cups with matching saucers. Something like this...
We thought we were so grown up as 4 year olds.
Now let's talk Coffee Bars:
I love how people incorporate coffee bars (or areas) in their kitchens
It just speaks to me and draws me in. What is it about a "coffee bar?" Do you know?
Here are a few I found on our favorite site, pinterest.
This one appealed to me because it is just the right size and has its own built in place right there in the kitchen.
This one is a little small for my taste but is that a heating tray to keep the mugs/cups warm? Now that I would love love love.
This is cute and probably an added area to maybe a remodeled kitchen.
Cute idea using a piece of furniture and adding some open shelves.
Small and narrow, perfect for small spaces.
Here is my coffee bar area...
Mugs and cups in above cabinet and to the cabinet on the right.
Want a closer look
My beloved Keurig machine (thanks Jessica and Dan) and all my little pods
I need to discuss with the people that make these pods and get a discount for all that I go through each and every day.
Let's go further and talk a little on
Butler's Pantries
I can't say enough about them
Love 'em
Just plain
Love 'em
Wish I could incorporate one in our house but it just isn't so.
Some Butler pantries are large to include food or a variety of dinner ware. I would just like a small one to house my coffee bar and a few holiday items.
Something like this one
And then there is this one...
it is calling my name
and I probably like it more because it has brick walls.
Now this one is on the larger scale and a bit too big for my taste but I suppose if I had lots of dishes this would be awesome
Lastly...
Let's talk
Coffee mugs/cups
I like me a good mug
Not a cup
BUT
a mug.
I drink from mugs such as these
These are 4 of my favorite mugs. The two in front were given to me by a dear friend, Sue, whose blog is: http://rue-mouffetard.blogspot.com
The two mugs in back are ones I bought and I can't remember where the one on the left came from but the one on the right is from World Market. They usually have some really wonderful size mugs.
Now if I do go smaller
my cup of choice is
See what it says? "Worlds Best Grandma" and given to me by one "special" little girl
Do you like coffee as much as me?
Do you have a coffee bar or butler's pantry?
How about a favorite mug/cup?

I love coffee and I'm always getting new mugs. I love to use different mugs all the time. I have lots of favorites and one is a Grandma mug also.
hugs,
Linda
I LOVE coffee and if I could have a coffee bar in the house it would be a lot of fun!
I 'm not a coffee drinker, tho I wish I was. I love the smell and could definitely use a shot of caffeine in the morning. I'm the only person in the family that doesn't like coffee, so that makes me "odd man out". Love your mugs!
Cheri, I'm a tea person. I make (and enjoy a cup of) coffee only when certain friends come over. Everyone else has to drink tea whether they like it or not! :D But I do love an attractive coffee station -- some of these photos make me wish I was a coffee drinker!
