A little tweeking

I know...I know...another post...hold on to your teeth

I am one who likes to decorate with Fall colors with red being in the fore front so it was out of my comfort zone to incorporate lighter colors with that lighter color being "blue." Every time I need advice on color for something, my girls always suggest blue and even though I love blue, I have a hard time decorating with blue. Folks...this is just a tad bit blue...not major furniture or rug changes but it makes the house feel a little lighter and a little like Spring/Summer.

When daughter came for the "surprise" visit we ventured to the larger JoAnn Fabrics going towards Atlanta and you know how something will speak to you...well this fabric spoke to me and so I got enough to make a dining table runner and some envelope style pillows and I still got to keep my beloved red in there. Win.

Yes, those are the new painted walls. They are white...I mean pure white...right off the shelf white. I had lived with another paint color for a few years that was suppose to be an off white and when I asked everyone who came to the house what color they thought the walls were, they ALL responded with pale yellow (which is what I thought and didn't want). This room has been so hard because the paint looks so different once the walls are painted...so white it was and I am a happy camper.

New Curtains from Home Goods (place suggested by daughter that I didn't think of)

Pillows

Got these cute blue frames at Home Goods, red truck (daughter found), and the blue candles came from World Market and large lantern from Kirklands.

I spent just a wee bit over $100.00 for the tweeking that has made me love this room for the warmer weather without going crazy and over board.

I love your home and always have. I like the new table runner and the white walls - looks really sharp and crisp.
