Christmas 2016

Usually us blogging gals get together to stuff our faces and exchange small Christmas gifts but this year it was canceled due to weather. Yes, here in Georgia, out of 365 days per year, this was the one day that there were tornado warning/sightings and heavy rain! Five out of the seven of us live on the western side of north Georgia, so they all got together this past Monday at Rose's (stole this pic from Rose's FB page), the three gals, Maureen, Sandie and Denise on the left and Rose who is standing

PLUS...the photographer, Sue

We (Linda and myself who live in eastern north Georgia)
really missed seeing you ladies.
ANYHOW...

Linda

and myself got together and went to La Madeleine's for lunch and a bit of shopping.

We are Quiche gals Linda and I

but what was so funny (and showing our age) was the fact that we both decided on Quiche Lorraine but when we went to tell the gal behind the counter we both totally went blank as to whether it was the Lorraine or Florentine, so Linda had to grab a menu again to look. All you can do is laugh.

It was a lovely lunch and even though the desserts looked divine, I knew it would send me over the edge and my belly was just comfortable to be able to do some shopping.

One place we stopped at was
Jarfly Antiques
Jefferson, GA

It was beautiful inside with all the Christmas decor and I bought these cute Christmas coasters and ornaments

There were 4 of these coasters packaged together.

Gift I received from Linda:
We both said that what we got each other was very specific to each other. I had gotten her some pink/gray Paris Eiffel Tower appetizer plates and she got me the doxie mug, cocoa mix, cute little plates and some wonderful chocolates (that.oops.I.ate watching Christmas movies) and all of this was put into that adorable bag.
Thank you Linda

NOW
I am going to include some of our decorations.
Some are old but we have not tired of them yet and I have added just a few new things.

I saw this tree pattern and I asked hubby to make me one but we have two that was made with some scrap wood he had.

Our tree has not changed but I still love it

I love these pillows on our sectional...it makes me smile
