Does anyone else daydream? Do you wonder what it would be like to win the lottery or Publisher's Clearing House and what you would do if you did?I am over the age of 60 (just slightly) but I still daydream, even as a young mama. My dreams then were different then they are now. I dreamt of things for my children (mostly) with a few things for me and hubby thrown in. I dreamt of someday being able to pay our house off...yeah...no...more mtg.! I dreamt of travel...nothing exotic, but more than the state next door.
Today I dream of having land that we can build a smaller house and barn to be made into a work shop for hubby. I dream of having enough property that maybe our children would want to build a house on too. I dream of my "Littles" coming over every so often to visit with Gamma and Gampa and being close enough to our "Littles" to go to their athlete games, dance, gymnastics or whatever they are into. Our children are 7 hours, 12 hours and 20 hours from us and we are missing so much of their lives. Thank goodness for Face Time...but still not the same.
Here are some of the things I am dreaming of:
Craftman's style homes have always been a favorite and anything brick or stone is just an added plus.
This classic look is also very appealing. I love the wide front steps. In both pictures I love the large front porch.
This home had me at...the wood...the stone...the front porch...but it is very large and I want smaller the next time around.
I love a one story home but if there was a loft I would definitely like to add this rebar and wood railing.
Wood ceiling and beams...ah
Love the look of this barn but I think I would have to add some rows of stone on the bottom.
Love these barn doors.
Now this could be the answer...house on first floor and work shop below.
When I saw this for a work shop my first thought was to make the area that is open a stone patio and no fence.
This is a new season in our life...well no so new...as we have been empty nesters for about 10 years...but a new season that in a few more years retirement is on the horizon.
So what do you day dream about...would love to hear from you.

I have some dream homes and thoughts in my mind too Cheri. For a long time really. I like all of your homes - my favorite was the second one - I would love to sit on the porch and look outside and see the sunset. How our house is situated now - it is hard to look out and see anything - the trees even hide the moon! Love this post. sandie
Love all those houses Cheri! Hope your dreams come to fruition sooner rather than later:)
