Day 2 of house tour

Here I am standing in the dining room (the bay window on the side of the house in previous post) and you look at the door going into the garage. There are two doors on either side of the little hall which house the laundry room, 1/2 bath, basement and utility closet. That chest in the dining room happens to be over 100 years old, it was my husband's grandfather's bedroom dresser that we have recycled to the dining room for table linens etc: There is a water mark on top and I used something sold at an antique store but it is not completely gone, does anyone else have any suggestions?

Now this is the view from me standing in that little hall way looking into the dining room. To the right is that LARGE opening into the kitchen and to the left is the living room.
Tomorrow or Monday will be a post on the master bedroom and I need some suggestions there. Stay tuned.

Once again, your house is beautiful. I love the thick baseboards and your dining table is gorgeous.

I'm enjoying the tour of your house Cheri. Everything looks so nice. Love that you are using Grandpa's chest in the DR. It fits right in there.
