Destin, Miramar Beach and Pensacola, FL

When I go along with my hubby to different states and towns for his job, I basically go along to keep him company... seriously.

I know you think that I probably find all these wonderful shopping malls, thrift stores, lay on the beach etc: but not the case. My days are typically stuck in a hotel room with two pups while he is working and we usually end up in hotels that have DQ, truck stops or gas stations as the only things within walking distance.

Well this trip was a bit different thanks to some blogging friends. I had mentioned earlier Susie and Judy both had clued me in on some places to go. This was also different because another guy from hubby's work was also going to the same locations with a RENTAL car and that means folks.... I had transportation. I am not one to venture by my lonesome but honestly things were either on the street of the hotel or literally just around the corner.

Here is the entrance to Destin Commons. After this sign is a HUGE Bass Pro Shop right where you turn in.

These next two pictures are also of Destin Commons. I was not there at night and the other one was not as crowded as this photo shows the day I was there. It is almost like a little town within itself.

This is small part of the Silver Sands outlets which was right across the street from our hotel. Score!

These two pictures are of just some palm trees ... duh ... but I fell in love with this huge one. Boy, would I love something like this in my yard.

Out the back of our hotel looking at the beach area was this hotel, I just thought it was weird and cool looking at the same time. I would have loved to have gone to the top floor here, what a view they must have.
Next up... the STEEP driveways of Birmingham. Pittsburgh, PA has nothing on them.
