Lunch at Chateau Elan and meeting new friends

Here is where I met up with Sue, Denise and Denise's son's girlfriend, Daria ... Chateau Elan. We had a wonderful buffet lunch, ( I skipped dessert... you'll see "why" when you scroll down).

This place has had its share of celebrities, such as Patrick Dempsey, Usher was married here, and Will Smith to name just a few. Check out Sue's blog here because I know she took more pictures than I did.

Here we are at our table, I have the cheesy smile (back right), Sue is in front of me, across from me is Denise and with the beautiful long red hair is Daria. Sue says I look like the picture in my blog and so does she but honestly folks, even though she is photogenic (wish I was), she is just a doll in real life. All of the gals were and it was so refreshing to meet them all. Soon they are planning to come to my house so we can go to another restaurant, some antique shops and Real Deal, WOW and Home Decor... remember my posts on those places? Just scroll down a little in case your forgot.

There was some conference going on there at the restaurant, someone had a B-day and they apparently split up into groups for a scavenger hunt. These folks needed to have their picture taken and one of us to write a quick love letter. We made Daria do the letter but before we could leave another group came up for the same thing and Denise did the letter. After that we decided we better get going before another group happened by.

Sue LOVES to cook and bake and she makes CHOCOLATE and I was the recipient of these delectable goodies. My mouth was saying "YUMMY" and my middle was saying "NO NO" can ya guess who won out? I have already emailed Sue to get the recipes. Now you know "why" I skipped dessert.

It was a nice treat for me to not only go out to lunch but to have the company of some great gals to chat with and get to know.... some new friends. It certainly has been an experience so far to meet people through blogging.
