Getting a Jump on Fall

The bit of crisp cool weather that started yesterday prompted me to start dragging out some of my Fall decorations...

I can't help it... it is my FAVORITE time of year.

Welcome to our home. Upon walking along our sidewalk I planted a mum with little orange centers in the large Jack Daniels barrel Jess and Dan bought.

Coming up to the door you are greeted by this fabulous wreath I scored last year.

As you enter our foyer you are pleasantly greeted by my scarecrow gal hubby bought one year at K-mart for me and my lovely cloth pumpkins.

From there you round the corner by the reading nook and hanging on the lamp is a cute as can be tassel I bought from Susie over at Bienvenue, you bloggers know Susie.

Some where in all our moves the scarecrow guy (sitting on our mantel) lost his hat and so I bought him a new one today at Michaels on sale for pennies I tell ya

This was actually the first thing I replaced... the summer flowers with cattails and some dark red mum like flowers on the dining table.

Lost control when I stopped at Dollar Tree (my favorite of all the dollar stores) and came out with (2) bags of silk fall colored leaves (90 in each bag) to add a little sum'n sum'n to the candle. Still have to figure what I am going to do with all the other leaves, suggestions.

I am sure am enjoying these crisp days of the start of Fall... hope you are too.

Well I will be making a stop over at the Dollar Tree tomorrow looking for those leaves....I just discovered they also carry in their gift wrapping section a large roll of clear cellophane for a buck!! Such a bargain...I first thought maybe not so much on the roll...Lots on the roll...
