No, we're not any great painters but us gals got the job done and what a job it was. If you read this
post from Jessica's blog, here is a statement she made in "that" post, "
I do plan on calling my Mom and begging her to come up for a few days and help. Keeping my fingers crossed she will say yes." (referring to painting her master bedroom). And here is the comment from our niece.
I like the way you so smoothly asked your mom to come help you without really asking her to come help you. Nice.
Here is Jessica's friend, Amber, who was sent from God to help us. We would never have finished when we did (Tuesday night) if she had not so graciously offered to help. You can see the green color the walls use to be.

Here is Jessica tackling the upper part of the walls. And I know you are wondering where Dan and the kids (Mabry and Amber's son, Landon) are...

Watching a DVD. Can ya see the little heads? One is next to her dada and the other is by the dark pillow. And now I suppose you wonder where I am besides taking pictures...

I was the gal doing the
cutting in and looking up at the higggggggh ceilings. Oh my... my palms are getting sweaty and I am asking myself, "what were you thinking."

Yup, there is the ceiling and that is a 10 or 12 foot ladder. I painted fairly high up but then Jessica took over. She didn't have a choice if she wanted her walls the same color. I tried to tell her that the upper half would look great green.

She painted her shutters a dark rich brown and on the light walls they really stand out.

Here is a better picture of the "after" and you can see what the color looks like. It also makes the blue/gray color (they are not that blue) of her kitchen pop.

Looking down the hallway.

Now this was "the only" room I was to come down and help paint, but the night before I was told that we were going to do the hall and living room since she had
grunts who worked for food. The master bedroom was painted the same as the living room and hall but Jessica didn't know what she wanted to do behind their bed and since she got to pick the paint for the other 3 walls, she let Dan choose this color, a dark dark gray and it is really sharp against the white furniture and the other walls. Good choice, Dan.

I couldn't let this post end without a couple Mabry shots. Here she was asked to do a funny face and this is what we got.

Sorry this is blurry but here she is with her new leggings.

On my way down there Jessica had to call me and tell me that she says, "Gam ma" with an emphasis on the "ma" part. She also got to talk to her Gam pa and said his name to him for the first time and that just tickled him.

The rooms look great!!! I am AWFUL at painting...my husband won't even let me try anymore....everything ends up a mess. :)
What a transformation...everything looks great! The gray in the bedroom really looks sharp, I like it! Yes, good choice Dan!
You are such a good mom...and gam ma!
How nice of you for helping her. We have been painting the past few days and my mom has been awesome watching the kids for us. I wonder if she would have rather been painting?
Nice reveal. I am saving my pictures for later this week. Thanks again for your help!
