Painting...

Disclaimer: I am NOT a photographer, so that should explain a lot with my photos.

Daughter is helping me paint the house at the end of the month but the other day I got to thinking that I should probably go ahead and get this room done (and possibly the hall and guest bath around this room) so I could get the paint smell out for when some little 2 year old miss comes and sleeps in this room.

BEFORE: the color is more true where you see the window, it is peach.

Little did I know... and I have heard this from several people... that gray/green was the "new" color in 2010 along with just gray. Believe it or not, this color is in the valance (a little) and in the long pillow you see below on the futon. That is where the inspiration came from.

The above photo is what the color looks like when it is dark out and the below photo shows the color when light is coming in. Plus I think one is using my flash and one is not, so you be the judge.

AFTER:

What ever your decision... I am happy with the color and the way it turned out.

What a difference a new can of paint can make huh! Your new room looks great!

So the new color for the year is gray/green? I've got a lot of tan going on around here but do have a green living room/dining room. I was thinking of changing it but maybe I'll leave it now!

Looks great. A can of paint can change everything. WIsh I had an eye for color. Want to come and 'tell' me what I need? Help. I did see a color green at Karyn's house, but never got the name of it.

Have a warm day.
