And how did you spend your Thursday night....

Alabaster Tornado

March 25, 2010, 7:32 pm

Thanks to Tony Griffin of this image of the tornado that moved through Alabaster… this was taken from the drive through at Jim and Nicks a little after 7:00… The NWS reports trees and power lines down and roof damaged on house in the Stoney Meadows subdivision near cr 44 and cr 17.

**The picture was taken at our exit off I-65 which is probably about 4 miles from us. Fun stuff ...not so much. I grabbed my computer, good jewelry and purse; didn't have to worry about the pups, they were on my heels and hubby.... well let's just say he missed his calling and should have been a tornado chaser since he was standing outside looking.

Another guy shot a video by the Publix grocery store which is probably only about 3 miles from our house of a small tornado that was shown hitting the ground. Whew.

Who needs the pups when you have your good jewelry. looks scary to me. I would have just grabbed my kids and run. Thankful you all are safe.

Wow, too close for comfort! Glad you're ok. The pups, the good jewelry, your purse and computer...you grabbed the important stuff! Oh, I'd grab my photo albums too.
