No, I am not talking the "black" pirate patch...that might actually be a little on the sexy side.
No...
This is the cumbersome bulk of latest eye wear after cataract surgery. It only comes in the lush shade of silver trimmed in bright blue...after all we want to stand out and have everyone take notice...drool with envy. I know you are.
No makeup is allowed as we want this jewel to shine alone
My friend, Denise, had this done yesterday...we were twins...we are fashion icons.
After they took out my IV, instead of putting on an itty bitty bandaid I got
I wonder if the people at IHOP thought I had tried to slit my wrist...they sure were awful soft spoken and eager to please when we stopped their for breakfast afterwards. Hmmm I should have clarified that it was just another fashion accessory.
We all know that with surgery they want all your jewelry off and generally if you can't get it all off they put tape around it but me being me thought I would "try" to get off my wedding band, the delicate circle of white gold that has not left my finger for almost 34 years, the sweet band I got when I was "skinny" and wore a size 5 ring and now a size 6. I struggled but then it got stuck half way up my knuckle. At this point it was hard to get it to go one way or the other so I went in the bathroom using soap and more soap to get it off. I have to tell you...it hurt like nobodies business...well this is why
Looks like someone is going to have to get a new wedding band. I think that is the appropriate prize for looking like something that came out of a horror movie today...don't you?
Other than a headache, I am fine, just can't see TV really and can only see the computer when I am inches away. The true testament to how all this went, will be tomorrow when the Dr. takes off my latest fashion accessory and if my vision is what the Dr. hopes (no more glasses... maybe only readers) then it won't be too long down the road and my envious other eye will want a fashion accessory of its own.

Yeah you made it and you are a fashion icon!
I have to agree you looked super cute, even with the eye patch! You cracked me up with your ihop comment too. Glad all went well, fingers crossed for your appointment tomorrow!
Love you!
Wow this is exciting...no glasses hopefully! Your fashion accessories are pretty interesting I must admit.
