We're obsessed...it is a sickness I tell ya

We can't control ourselves...

We can't move into a house new or old without transforming it.

We hardly get to live in it and then we sell.

Not necessarily because we want to...

Sometimes it is a work related move.

Regardless...we probably should have been House Flippers because we are obsessed.

I tell ya...it is a disease...a condition...one we have lost control over.

Intervention doesn't work. We believe we can live with it or do very little and THEN....

We are possessed and the hammers, the nails, the saws all come to life and our life is taken over with RENOVATIONS!

I don't have pictures of every house we have lived in but these are the last four and our very first.

First home:

This was the start of it all. And that tree, we planted that when our oldest was born. Look at it now!
(Sorry Jessica if it makes you feel old, it is just a fast growing tree)

Our house in State College, PA

See those two windows on the bottom side, well that use to be the garage. We made that into our family room, and the door is a large mudroom/ dog room plus the overly large three car garage with a 2nd floor and the stone facing which was literally like putting together like a puzzle.

Our first house in Georgia

The basement got a complete over haul to make an office, work room and small TV room for the "man."

Our next house was in Alabama

The 10 months we were there (and just to be clear we had no idea we were going to be there for only 10 months), every room got painted, work room completed in basement and all new appliances.

The house we are in now in Georgia

Got a good deal, decided on what we would change and what we could live with, but the reality is that once the changes got underway other things changed that were not in the original plans. Life.

We plan on staying here. We don't want to move anytime soon. Let's hope this is one house that after the renovations, we can truly sit back and enjoy the fruits of our labor. Mowing and weeding would be nice to be the only things we had to do.

A sneak peek at the continuation of the kitchen remodel

Want a little more?

I cannot end without hollering out a huge thank you to my hubby who does all the work, our daughter, Jessica who has helped in every move and helped me paint. Daughter, Betsy, and son in-laws, Dan and Sven who got sucked in when ever they could help us.

Love your new wood floors! Your kitchen is looking so good. Looks like you have a nice private lot too.

Y'all could not be more opposite than us. Like, ever.

(Which, for the record, is a VERY GOOD THING for all of your houses.) :-)
