Recipe to share

Here is a recipe that I think you gals might enjoy on these crisp days of Fall.

Apple Crunch:

Peel and cut apples into slices (I used 10 of these Granny Smith apples (they were small) but you use what you like - you can also substitute apples for blueberries or any fruit but those are the only two I have used). Make sure to fill your ungreased 8x8 baking dish pretty full, leave about 1" at the top for the topping.

In a med. bowl you will mix:
2/3 c. Br. sugar packed
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. oats (quick cooking kind)
2 t. lemon juice
dash of salt
cinnamon to taste
1/2 c. margarine

After you mix it all up in a bowl and cut in the margarine, it will look something like this. (Lumps are the margarine, but you probably knew that)

Top the apples with this dry mix and have the margarine pieces kind of balanced out all over the baking dish.

Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Mine is actually in the oven now, so I don't have a finished picture but trust me...it is yummy yummy in my tummy!

Make ya up some scrambled eggs, the apple crunch and maybe a little bacon and your java and you are good to go.

Wow! Just like the pioneer woman blog. I love the step by step. Thanks for the recipe. Sounds good on this cold day. Yes, it has already been snowing(not sticking).
